Volunteer Role:
community leader - Facebook Groups
The Community Leader - Facebook Groups volunteer role is responsible for welcoming new members into National Accreta Foundation’s network of closed Facebook groups, increasing visibility of NAF website resources and promoting NAF initiatives to all group members.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is already active in our Facebook groups who wants to get involved with the foundation, be seen as a leader in the groups and increase their impact in the accreta community. The ideal candidate is creative and passionate about bringing awareness to placenta accreta and connecting those new to our community to existing resources to help improve their accreta experience.
This role will have influence over the organization’s social media voice and the opportunity to lead promotion of campaigns as well as provide the foundation with insight into both trends as well as gaps in community needs and interests. National Accreta Foundation is an entirely volunteer-run organization. The Community Leader role is exclusively voluntary with no financial compensation.
Responsibilities
Create weekly welcome posts in the groups, tagging new members
Promote and bring attention to current NAF calls to action and initiatives within groups
Assist NAF Board of Directors with matchmaking requests for journalist and advocacy opportunities
Encourage community members to submit photos, quotes and testimonies about the value NAF brings to the accreta community
Recognize those who create Facebook fundraisers to benefit National Accreta Foundation
Stay apprised of group activity and connect members to relevant and existing NAF resources
Optional: Join NAF’s graphic content creation team. Create graphics as needed for the Community Leader role as well as be a resource for NAF Directors and Social Media team to create visual content for foundation promos, newsletters and other special projects as time or interest allows
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
Have been an active member in one or more of National Accreta Foundation’s closed Facebook groups for at least 6 months
Be well versed in National Accreta Foundation’s website resources and familiar with our social media voice and presence
Have interest in creating graphic content or modifying templates in a user friendly design platform
Experience writing, editing and creating content for social media is a plus
Time Expectation: 3 hours per week
