About the Foundation:
National Accreta Foundation is a volunteer run and donation funded non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded by placenta accreta survivor patient advocates in 2017
Our Mission is to amplify the experience of those impacted by placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) to improve quality of care and patient outcomes
Our Focus is to increase awareness of accreta and cesarean overuse, to advocate for moms and babies, and to connect patients & providers with resources to help improve quality of care
Are you an inspired placenta accreta advocate looking to make a difference? If so, we want to hear from you!
Some things to know:
National Accreta Foundation is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Volunteering with NAF is a great opportunity to actively bring awareness to placenta accreta while engaging and building relationships with patients, healthcare providers, advocacy organizations and the broader maternal health community.
NAF volunteers and board members are located all over the country. Most of us have day jobs and are passionate about using our spare time to make a difference for the accreta community.
We come from a diverse collection of experience and educational backgrounds. You don’t have to be “professionally qualified” to get involved in an area that you are passionate about where the Foundation can use your help.
All NAF volunteer roles are fully remote. There will be some zoom / virtual team meetings and trainings with mutually convenient times, otherwise volunteers are able to determine their own working schedule to meet deliverables.
We expect NAF advocates to be able to make a minimum weekly or monthly time commitment and to be self driven and able to work independently on baseline activities, seeking direction, advice and calibration from the larger team when needed. Ideally we are seeking volunteers who can commit to working with us for many months - a year.
Now, we want to get to know you!
